While a consultation is a part of every visit, Dr. Sharp does offer free consultations to new patients where he will discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Sharp to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Sharp will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any potentially serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Sharp will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Sharp will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
Dr. Sharp may at this point recomend certain activities or positions to avoid as well as any at home exercised or stretches that may prompt forward progress. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized plan. Our goal is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, live a healthy lifestyle that includes diet and exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
At the conclusion of your report of findings, you will experience your first treatment. This will include spinal adjustments and therapy (this may include muscle stimulation, intersegmental traction and icing). Treatment is interactive, so Dr. Sharp can address any questions or concerns anytime.
At the conclusion of your treatment plan, the doctor may suggest a wellness program to maintain great spinal health and prevent regression. These recommedations are solely based on the patients individual needs.
